Richard Mille’s first collection of wristwatches was officially launched in 2001. Millions of people were able to admire the tourbillon RM 001. This model still is on the market, but now it has a torque indicator. Other revolutionary models by Richard Mille such as the RM 002, the RM 003, and the RM 004 split-second chronograph in 2003 followed this fabulous watch. The RM 006 was available in a limited edition of only 20 pieces.
In 2005, Richard Mille released the RM 007 - the first ladies' watch - and the RM 009 - a unique wristwatch made from ALUSIC, a material used in the construction of space stations and satellites. The RM 009 was available in only 25 pieces. The year 2006 marked an important date in the brand's history. Richard Mille started a nautical partnership with Perini Navi, a renowned manufacturer of luxury sailing yachts. This alliance was celebrated through the release of the RM 014 during the Perini Navi Cup in Sardinia. The RM 012 was launched in the same year. This model featured a minimalist design, tubular architecture and distinctive details.
In 2007, Richard Mille presented his new collection in an extra flat case. The brand became part of the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie. The designer won the golden hand at the GPHH 2007.
Taking leads from the research world of high-tech aeronautics, Richard Mille launched three new watches in 2008: the RM 011 LMC Felipe Massa, the RM 018 “Hommage à Boucheron” and the RM 020 tourbillon pocket watch. He has joined forces with the talented designers from Boucheron to create the RM 018 tourbillon wristwatch, a unique timepiece like the world has never seen before. Twelve new watches were released in 2009, including the RM 007 titalyt®, the RM 008 Felipe Massa, the RM 025 tourbillon diver’s watch and the RM 021 Aerodyne. In 2010, Richard Mille launched the lightest mechanical wristwatches on the market - the RM 027 tourbillon, the RM 028 automatic diver’s watch and the RM 022 tourbillon Aerodyne dual time zone. The RM 027 tourbillon was designed by champion tennis player Rafael Nadal who was wearing the luxury timepiece by Richard Mille when he won the US Open and the French Open at Roland Garros.
In 2011, Richard Mille introduced the RM 026, a luxury tourbillon in limited edition of 15 unique pieces. The RM 038 was launched in the same year. It was designed for Bubba Watson, the popular golf player. Other models released under the Richard Mille brand in 2011 featured an extra flat design and oversize date.
Richard Mille launched six new watches at the SIHH Fair in 2012, including the RM 057 Dragon Jackie Chan and the RM 053 Tourbillon Pablo Mac Donough. The last model was available in only 10 pieces. A remarkable piece of the Richard Mille brand was the RM 052 Skull featuring a superb skull shaped base plate made of titanium. Also in 2012, Richard Mille released the RM 039 Tourbillon Flyback Chronograph - the first aviation watch in the brand's history. In 2013, he introduced another five watches. Characterized by opulence and luxury, the Richard Mille brand is highly valued by the wealthy.
