Certified Authentic watches.

Carefree purchasing thanks to Certified.

Maximum Transparency Every Step of the Way

As part of the Certified by Chrono24 program, the authenticity of each watch is checked and certified by a verified watchmaker, who then issues a certificate of authenticity that details the certification of your watch.

  1. What Authenticity Means To Us

In order to certify a watch, we must first define what we mean by "authenticity." We break down the term unambiguously, so that you're fully informed before you buy. You can learn more by reading our authenticity info brochure.

  2. Professional Authentication

All watches certified by Chrono24 undergo a comprehensive inspection based on pre-defined criteria. This is the only way we can guarantee the authenticity of the watch. You can learn more by reading our authenticity info brochure.

  3. Verified Watchmakers

Every watchmaker who certifies watches for Chrono24 is pre-screened by us before we begin working with them. This ensures that they have all the necessary qualifications and technical equipment. Learn more.

How To Purchase a Certified Watch

Do you have any questions?

Certified is our new certification service whereby verified watchmakers check and certify the authenticity of watches to provide customers on our marketplace with a worry-free buying experience.
Every watchmaker who certifies watches under the Certified program has to meet certain criteria. In this way, we ensure he or she has suitable qualifications and technical equipment. Through individualized audits, we also ensure that watches are tested exclusively by experts and in accordance with our standards. If we discover any discrepancies, we hold the watchmakers accountable. See also: What's the difference between Certified Included and Certified Optional?
If you book Certified as an optional add-on, this usually takes an additional 1–3 business days. Watches that already include certification (Certified Included) can be shipped directly to you without delay. See also: What's the difference between Certified Included and Certified Optional?
If your watch turns out to be counterfeit, it cannot be certified. In this case, our support team will reach out to you, and you'll receive an immediate refund. If you opted to book the Certified service as an add-on and your watch is counterfeit, you will also receive a complete refund.
1. Look for listings with the Certified icon
Certified watches can be identified by the green "C" icon in the search results and in the listing. You can also filter search results to only view Certified watches. On the listing page, you can see whether Certified is already included or whether it's an optional add-on to your purchase. 2. Certification by verified watchmakers
Before you receive your watch, it will be checked and certified by a verified watchmaker. Among other things, the watchmaker checks whether your watch matches the listing information and whether it complies with our definition of authenticity.
3. Receive your watch and digital certificate of authenticity
After successful certification, you can rest assured your new watch is genuine. This is confirmed by a certificate of authenticity, which you can access digitally after receiving your watch.
