NOMOS Tangente 33
Easy on the eyes and the wrist. The archetypal NOMOS watch - only a shade smaller. The Tangente 33 is every thousandth of a millimeter NOMOS Glashütte, and every inch a lady.
Ahead of the Rest: NOMOS Tangente 33
It might not be a sports watch, but it’s still managed to garner a few prizes along the way. Tangente 33: the multiple award-winning NOMOS wristwatch, for women.
Bauhaus-style numerals with serif accents, narrow tempered blue hands that go on for days, and undeniably perfect angles. It sounds simple, and it is. Add to this the balanced stainless steel case with its white silver-plated dial, and that’s what makes the Tangente 33 NOMOS wristwatch a competition favorite. Held in place by Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan leather straps, and we’re on to a winner.
Tangente 33 Grau
The silver-plated gray dial and polished rhodium-plated hands of the Tangente 33 Grau are eye-catching - whether wearing the watch, or simply admiring it on the wrist of another.
The dark gray numeral and indices complement the stainless steel case, while the matching decentralized seconds dial performs a single, distilled function: perfect timekeeping at a glance. Impressive from the inside out, on the verso of this piece a sapphire crystal glass reveals the workings of the movement within. Secured by a fine, calf velour strap produced in the Alps, this subtle material makes fine watches appear even finer.
Tangente 33 Karat
The Tangente 33 Karat is a shining example of NOMOS high-end design. The perfectly round stainless steel case embraces the brushed gold dial. To complement this, brown Bauhaus numerals, indices, and minutes make this elegant piece uncluttered and refined. The small complication of a seconds subsidiary dial, also in brushed gold-plate, sits at 6 o’clock.
Holding this piece in place is a dark brown strap crafted from velour leather and finished with an elegant steel clasp, while the back features a crystal sapphire glass. A tribute to luxury that never fails to go unnoticed, the Tangente 33 Karat is good as gold and definitely worth its weight.
Alpha Female: the NOMOS Tangente 33
Unbeatable timekeeping, around the clock. The first NOMOS movement, and still the most popular, the Alpha never misses a beat, a tick, or a tock.
The Tangente 33 by NOMOS may be a little finer, but it’s every bit as powerful as its peers. As the first in-house movement produced, the Alpha is the heart of NOMOS Glashütte, and now the Tangente 33, too.
It’s what’s on the inside that counts. For curious minds, the Tangente 33 Grau and Karat both feature a sapphire crystal display back, providing a hint of the complications within - a curve of the center wheel, the whirl of the delicate hairspring, the ratchet and crown wheels with Glashütte sunburst. All held in place by rhodium-plated surfaces with Glashütte ribbing and NOMOS perlage; it’s equally beautiful, from both sides.
