Watch fairs are the perfect place for all watch fans who are hoping to find a bargain, exchange ideas with like-minded people, or simply want to enjoy beautiful watches out in the wild. In contrast to the major watch events like Watches and Wonders or Geneva Watch Days, watches are not only presented but also traded at watch fairs. Private individuals can also display their collections and models and offer them for sale. Many retailers also use the exchanges as an opportunity to sell their remaining collections at lower prices. These shows vary in size and focus – from the antique watch market in Furtwangen, to international events in Las Vegas, almost everything is included. Still feel a bit unsure when it comes to watches? It can be helpful to go to the shows with an experienced collector. These people can support you in price negotiations, and make it easier to recognize counterfeits. And if you want to minimize the risk of being ripped off, you should go to watch exchanges that operate on a membership basis. As a great alternative, you can also purchase on marketplaces such as Chrono24. They offer a huge selection and secure purchase processing.
